Join the DailySocial team on a seven-day DSCVR tour around Indonesia to discover the country’s hidden tech talents.
Indonesia is known as one of Southeast Asia’s hottest tech startup scene. With the country’s over 240 million population providing a strong market opportunity, large talent pool and also increasing support from local and foreign players, tech startups are thriving in the archipelago. Not only are foreign venture capital firms like GREE Ventures and CyberAgent Ventures interested in Indonesia, but also startups from abroad looking to hire talent.
Having run SparxUp Awards, Indonesia’s largest event that recognises the country’s best tech startups, the DailySocial team is organising a road trip around Indonesia to discover talented software developers, designers and tech leaders in the country. With the majority of Indonesia’s top tech talents located outside of the main city of Jakarta, the DailySocial team hopes to expose this valuable resource through their program, aptly called DSCVR (read as “Discover”).
DSCVR will be a seven-day trip to several cities on the island of Java. The trip will be expected to run in late March of early April, kicking off in Jakarta and heading to Bandung, Jogjakarta, Surabaya and Malang. DSCVR participants will have a chance to meet these talents, visit their offices, attend demo days and seminars while having a blast with the DailySocial team and the local tech community.
The estimated cost for DSCVR would be around US$2,000 to US$3,000 per person, excluding airfare from your home country to Jakarta. If you are interested to join the trip, register here. For further questions, do drop Rama Mamuaya, founder of DailySocial, an email.
